The "Open store credit issue" button can be used to issue store credit/gift-cards for free and provides a way to enter old gift-cards into ThriftCart one at a time.

For example, if a customer has an old gift-card, you can use the "open store credit issue" button to enter the card balance along with a unique ID (e.g. barcode from the gift-card, customer's phone number, etc.) into ThriftCart.

ThriftCart then tracks the current card balance and future card balance as the card is used or additional value is added to the card/ID.

If following this process, you do NOT use an "Old store credit" button when taking payment with old gift-cards. Rather, after entering a card into ThriftCart, you use the normal "store credit / gift-card" payment button that requires a cashier enter the card's unique ID, just like redeeming a gift-card originally issues through ThriftCart.

Upon entering the unique ID, ThriftCart displays the card's remaining balance and allows the cashier to redeem the whole amount (if the purchase is large enough) or just a portion of the card balance.
