If your customer brings back product to return that was purchased on a prior POS system, ThriftCart doesn’t have record of that sale. To return the product to store-credit in ThriftCart, please follow the below steps.

In this example, I’m returning a $50 Air Conditioner.

Select the category > sub-category of the item you’re returning.

Enter a negative sign “-” in the quantity field, so it has a quantity of negative 1 (-1):

Enter the price of the item you’re returning (not including tax):

Select “Add to Cart”:

Your register should now look similar to this picture, with a negative quantity item and red amount shown as the “Change due”:

Now, select the button titled something like “Issue Gift Card” or “Issue Store Credit”:
